LeafscapeJournal started as a shared notebook between a landscape designer, a horticulturist, and a former outdoor-retail buyer who kept sending each other the same three questions: what actually works, what’s worth the money, and what’s just marketing. The site is the long-form answer.
Four areas, deliberately: garden design and layout, native and regional planting, outdoor living spaces, and the maintenance habits that keep all of it alive past the first season. We skip trend pieces and product roundups that don’t come from actually using the thing.
Every guide is written by someone with hands-on experience in that specific area - a working nursery, a design practice, retail buying - rather than general assignment writers. Articles get updated when a technique or a season changes the answer, not left to go stale.
